Brian Urek: The Wendigos
The end of the world hasn't really had much negative effect on my motorcycle club. I mean, The Wendigos MC are still a bunch of hoodrats who love to party. We're definitely making a good profit out of the new world though. Which is good because I don't know about your but, I don't see many functioning gas stations around here. At least none that run on actual gasoline. That's because we are the primary producer of corn ethanol in the region. Amazing thing can be accomplished by a bunch of gear heads and scum bags that want to keep riding.
Fueling vehicles isn't the only service we provide. We're also the only ones who appear to be in the large scale fabrication game at the moment. Seemed logical given how the majority of us were working some sort of construction before shit started going south. Probably helps that we stole all the construction vehicles we could at the start of things as well. We also have an extensive 3D print shop and have even begun manufacturing ammo. We've also been trying our hand at making our own guns either from existing parts kits we've been able to get our hands on or just the old fashioned way.
Naturally, since we're a motorcycle club we also run a sort of protection racket. There's still trade that goes through the area and bands of marauders all over the place. So, if you want to make sure your goods make it to the markets, you hire a group like ours. On the other hand, if you want to make sure your competitors goods get stolen on the roads well, you can hire a group like ours as well. I won't lie, we've done our fair share of both.
Our primary customer base isn't far from home. We live smack in the middle of the Blacklands which has greatly enriched us. The farmers provide us their corn to turn into ethanol and we provide protection. I mean their goods have to get to the local markets somehow. We also provided additional manpower to our friends over at Fedder Farms. Evan and I have been friends for years and I've participated in my fair share of their actions during the collapse so it's only makes sense that we maintain a close relationship.
